Varmala preservation process: how we preserve your wedding garland in resin
Your varmala goes through seven careful stages: a design chat, safe collection, slow drying, a layout you approve on video, layered resin pouring, hand finishing and gift-ready packing. Most frames are ready 16–21 days after the dried varmala reaches our studio.

The 7 stages, step by step
Varmala preservation means drying the flowers from your wedding garland and sealing them in clear resin, so they keep their shape and colour for years. Every stage below happens by hand in our studio in Narayan Vihar, Jaipur.

Stage 1 · Day 0
Design chat and exact quote
You send a photo of your varmala, your wedding date and your city on WhatsApp. We look at the flowers you have and suggest shapes and sizes that will actually suit them: a photo frame, a full varmala frame, an LED piece or a clock. You get an exact price before anything starts.

Stage 2 · Day 1–3
Safe collection of your varmala
In Jaipur we collect the fresh varmala from your home. For other cities we arrange pickup and guide you step by step: let the flowers breathe, keep them away from plastic bags and direct sun, and pack them in a box so petals don’t crush. Stage 3 · Week 1–2Sorting and slow drying
We sort the flowers, remove damaged petals and dry the rest slowly so they keep their shape. Moisture left inside a petal is what causes browning and fungus later, so we never rush this. Fresh varmalas collected in Jaipur need about 7–10 extra days here. Colours change a little while drying: deep reds darken and whites turn creamy, which is natural.

Stage 4 · Before resin
Layout, and your approval on video
We place the dried flowers, your photo, names, date and any extras like pearls, kaleere or the wedding card. Then we send you photos and a video of the layout. Nothing is poured until you say yes. This is the step that removes the biggest worry: “what if it doesn’t look like I imagined?”

Stage 5 · Most of the 16–21 days
Layered resin pouring and curing
Resin is mixed in the exact ratio and poured in layers, especially for deep frames, so heat doesn’t damage the petals and bubbles can be removed. Each layer cures fully before the next one goes on. This patience is what keeps the resin clear and the surface hard, not sticky.

Stage 6 · Finishing
Demoulding, sanding and polishing
The piece comes out of the mould and is sanded, polished and checked from every angle. Frames get their wooden or acrylic border, LED pieces are tested, clocks get their movement. If something isn’t right, it is fixed here, not after delivery.

Stage 7 · 4–5 working days
Gift-ready packing and delivery
Every keepsake is wrapped and boxed to travel safely, then shipped with tracking. Delivery within India takes about 4–5 working days, and we also send finished pieces to couples living abroad.

Questions about the process
Do you use my real varmala flowers?
Yes. Your keepsake is made only from the flowers you send us. We never replace them with artificial or other flowers. If some petals are too damaged to use, we tell you before we start.
Can the full garland be kept in its original shape?
Yes. Full varmala frames keep the garland in its shape inside a large frame. If you prefer a smaller piece, we use selected flowers and petals instead. We will tell you honestly which works better for your flowers.
My flowers have dark spots or fungus. Can they still be preserved?
Often the healthy flowers can still be used once the affected ones are removed. Send a clear photo and we will tell you what is possible. Read more in can fungus-affected flowers be preserved.
Can you add our photo, names, date, kaleere or the wedding card?
Yes. Photos, names, dates, pearls, kaleere, chooda pieces and the wedding card can all be set into the design. You see them in the layout video before resin is poured.
Will the resin damage the photo or the colours?
Photos are sealed before they go into resin, and resin is poured in controlled layers to avoid heat damage. Flowers change colour mainly while drying, before any resin is poured, so you see the real colours in the layout video.
