What changes the price of varmala preservation?
- Size: a bigger frame needs more resin, more flowers and more working time.
- Resin depth: deep-casting frames use thick resin poured in layers, which takes longer to cure.
- Full garland vs selected flowers: keeping the whole varmala needs a large frame and careful arrangement.
- Photo: a printed couple photo is sealed inside the resin.
- Frame material: a teakwood frame costs more than a plain resin edge.
- Add-ons: LED lights, names, wedding date, pearls, gold flakes, kaleere, chooda pieces and the wedding card.
- Number of pieces: extra frames or jewellery made from the same flowers.
One thing does not change the price: urgent timelines cost nothing extra.

Why prices differ so much between artists
The resin, the flowers and the frame can look similar in photos. The difference is in steps you cannot see in a picture:
- Drying: rushed or skipped drying is cheaper but causes browning and fungus later.
- Resin grade: low-cost resin yellows sooner and may stay cloudy.
- Curing time: letting each layer cure fully takes days, and rushing it causes bubbles and soft surfaces.
- Approvals: showing you the flowers and design before pouring takes extra time and care.
- Packing: proper packing for a heavy resin frame costs more but protects it in transit.
We explain this in more depth in why some artists charge more for varmala preservation, and what makes a frame last in how long varmala preservation lasts.
Instagram artist or a dedicated studio?
Many talented resin artists sell on Instagram, and some do excellent work. The price alone does not tell you who will do a good job. Compare what you get:
| Check this | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Verifiable reviews (for example on Google), not only comments and likes | Shows how many couples were happy after delivery. |
| A fixed studio address and GST billing | You know who is responsible for your varmala. |
| Photos and videos at each stage, with approval before pouring | You can change the design before it is too late. |
| Written prices and clear payment terms | No surprise charges at the end. |
| Proper courier pickup and packing | Your only varmala travels safely both ways. |
Our studio in Jaipur has worked on wedding flower preservation since 2012, has a 4.8-star rating on Google, and bills under our registered firm, Sky Ocean Craft. You can read what couples say on our reviews page.
Is varmala preservation worth the money?
For most couples, yes, if it is done well. You only have one varmala, and it cannot be replaced. A well-made frame lasts for years and becomes a family keepsake. A cheap job that browns or yellows in a year is the real waste of money. Set your budget by the size you want, and spend on drying, resin quality and approvals rather than on extra decoration.
